Wings of Aotearoa is an interactive learning project that brings together storytelling, play, and creative technology to inspire young people to care for Aotearoa’s unique and endangered birds. Through a board game brought to life with augmented reality, players meet native bird species, explore their habitats, and discover the challenges they face in the wild.

Rooted in Māori knowledge and ways of understanding the natural world, the project encourages curiosity, conservation, and kaitiakitanga. It shows that even small actions can make a big difference.
